Amazon Magic Mushroom History
It is believed that the PES Amazon magic mushroom strain was first developed by a group called Pacifica Exotica Spora, hence the PES in the name of the strain. Pacifica Exotica Spora are believed to be the first ones to offer the spores of this strain to the masses.
When Pacifica Exotica Spora initially started to market the PES Amazon magic mushroom strain, they claimed that they developed the strain by crossing two types of magic mushroom strains known as Psilocybe cubensis and Psilocybe azurescens. Later on as cultivators tested the strain, they found out that the claims of the strain being a hybrid between Psilocybe cubensis and Psilocybe azurescens were false.
Today, some people believe that the strain origins’ are from the Amazon Rainforest, where the strain would have been able thrive in the favorable conditions. It could be found growing in rich soil of the Amazon Rainforest where it was also used by the native tribes of the regions.

Appearance of the Amazon Mushroom Strain
As a result of the rapid mycelium growth, the Amazon magic mushrooms generally have very thick and meaty stems. The stems of the average Amazon magic mushroom is roughly six inches. In the earlier stages, the stems are almost a bright white, but as the mushroom matures, the stems tend to turn to more of a pale-white color.
Relative to their thick meaty stems, their caps are quite small with a pronounced bump in the middle that resembles a nipple. Average Amazon magic mushroom cap sizes will be roughly 100mm+ in diameter. Once an Amazon psychedelic mushroom reaches maturity, their caps are a golden-brown-light-yellow color. Before maturity, during the fruiting stage, Amazon caps can be brown with an undertone of red. Most recognizable is the brown dot in the middle of the Amazon magic mushroom caps. This brown dot truly resembles a nipple.
Psychedelic Effects of Amazon Mushrooms
The Amazon magic mushroom is a very potent and spiritual strain. The Amazon mushroom generally has an above-average amount of psilocybin. The effects of the chemical compound, psilocybin, can affect everyone differently. Age, weight, diet, personality, expectations and metabolism can all affect an individual’s experience with magic mushrooms.
