· St. Joseph Institute, a healing and wellness facility in central Pennsylvania , is offering $100 discounts on two of its packages. The Spa Lovers deal is $389 per person double weekdays ($429 weekends) and offers two nights' lodging, five meals and seven spa treatments, including a Swedish massage and a hot stone massage. The Friends Get Away promo starts at $249 per person double ($269 weekends) and includes two nights' accommodations, five meals and five spa treatments. Taxes are an extra 8.5 percent. · Two major rental car companies are offering half-off weekend rentals at off-airport locations throughout the country. In Maryland and Virginia, Enterprise Rent-a-Car (800-261-7331, http://www.enterprise.com) has economy cars starting at about $14 a day, plus about $1 taxes. The vehicle can be rented for three to five days, including a Friday through Monday, by June 30. · American Airlines has sale fares to ski destinations in Colorado and Wyoming . · The Bahamas Ministry of Tourism has joined with several travel providers to offer discount deals to the Bahamas this fall and winter. Purchase a package with an American Express card for travel through Feb. 14 (book by Nov. 30) and save $100 on two-night stays and $200 on three-night packages. Also, several hotels in Nassau and on Paradise Island are offering discounts of up to 50 percent, and participating hotels on Grand Bahama Island are offering a free night stay on at least four nights. For example, a mid-January package with nonstop air from Reagan National to Nassau and three nights at the Sheraton Cable Beach Resort starts at $984 per couple (including taxes) when booked with an American Express card.
