What is the skill loss percentage in Valheim? ›

Upon death, the player will lose 5% of their total levels in each skill. Due to exponential cost of levels this is approximately equal to losing 1/8 of the total experience gained in each skill. For example, spending eight hours grinding the desired skill, death will mean the loss of one hour.

Skills are a player progression system that improves effectiveness with certain actions or weapon types/tools by repeatedly performing matching actions. Experience is gained independently for each skill with its own trigger for advancement. Effective skill levels are reduced upon Death.

You lose points when you die. 10% of your total from each skill. Once you die, you get the 'no skill drain' message for a while, which prevents any additional skill point loss until it wears off.

General Information. The No skill drain effect is applied upon Death. The effect prevents any further skill experience loss upon new deaths in the next 600s (10 minutes). This effect is reset after each death.

Each time you level up, you make your action more effective, which increases damage, and decreases your loss of stamina. Make sure you focus on leveling up the skills you need most for the game. You can keep leveling up until you reach 100, where the max skill level caps out.

Skill Benefits

Raising the swim skill decreases the amount of stamina that is used down to -50%.

Description. Determines stamina drain and visibility from mobs while sneaking. Sneaking skill reduces stamina drain while sneaking by up to 75% non-linearly, with more noticeable reductions in earlier levels.

The wet effect lasts for a duration of 120 seconds. The duration will not decrease while the player is exposed to rain or above the waist in water. The duration resets back to 120 seconds upon being exposed to water again. The effect provides a debuff to both health and stamina regeneration.

Skill factor

Minimum damage increases linearly from 25% of weapon damage at skill level 0 to 85% of weapon damage at skill level 100. Maximum damage increases linearly from 55% of weapon damage at skill level 0 to 100% of weapon damage at skill level 75 and above.

Fall damage

Falling further than 4 meters, you take 6.25 Pure damage per meter; capped at 100 damage.

What is the drop rate of iron in Valheim? ›

Oozers can also rarely drop Scrap Iron with a drop rate of around 30%. Later in the game, Iron and Copper scrap can be obtained by mining Ancient swords and Ancient armor in the Mistlands.

Creature damage is further increased by 4% and effective health is further increased by 30% for each additional player within 100 meters. These are also applied to tamed creatures. This scaling caps at 5 players.
